Corrections Policy
Report tool, translation or content errors and understand how ClockTools reviews, tests and discloses corrections.

This policy covers every ClockTools tool, language, guide and supported export. We assess reports against evidence and reproducible behavior. A preference or an unexpected random outcome alone does not establish a defect.
Port scanner: checks and corrections
For a disputed observation, send the public host, selected ports, timestamp, observation and evidence through our contact page. Include the expected configuration and an authorized comparison, but never passwords or private network details. We review reproducible classification or display errors; changing remote conditions are not rewritten as permanent facts.
Website availability checks
If a result seems wrong, save its URL, timestamp, status and failed stage, then confirm once or compare the homepage. Send us the non-sensitive evidence through our contact page. We review classification, wording and reproducible defects; we cannot change another website’s response or retrospectively measure an unobserved outage.
IP subnet calculations and planning
If a result seems wrong, send the IP version, a non-sensitive example address, prefix or mask, requested host counts and the expected value. Include the browser and a screenshot if useful. Do not send internal network diagrams or confidential addresses. We review the calculation and explanation together.
Coordinate inputs, formats and reports
If a place label or conversion appears wrong, report the page language, input notation, expected point and what you observed. Use a public example when possible and do not include private locations unnecessarily. We review reproducible input, formatting and display errors; mapping descriptions may require correction in the underlying map data.
Where Am I Right Now?
Report the page language, browser, result type and what looked wrong. Use a public landmark or rounded sample coordinates instead of your private address. We check formatting, labels and handling separately from the underlying location estimate.
What Is My IP?
If a field looks wrong, note the lookup time, the field and the expected value. Share only the minimum needed, preferably a redacted report. We distinguish display errors from upstream location estimates and explain limitations rather than inventing a replacement.
Internet Speed Test
For a measurement problem, tell us the page language, browser version, test depth, approximate time, connection type and which metric looked wrong. Include a screenshot or export if useful, but never send account passwords, private addresses or other secrets. We compare reproducible runs and check timing, payload and calculation errors. Verified corrections update the tool and its explanations; we cannot reconstruct a test you did not save or guarantee a fix to your ISP.
GPS Speedometer Online
For GPS speedometer corrections, include the affected dashboard, browser and device, units, activity, live or demo state, last-update age and speed source. Describe the expected and observed behaviour and attach a redacted export if helpful. We reproduce a report with controlled location sequences where possible, check timing and conversion rules, then update the tool and relevant guidance. Never publish or send private coordinates to demonstrate a problem.
Printable Calendar
Tell us the year, month, holiday region, week start and whether the problem is in the preview, printout, PNG or calendar file. For a holiday correction, include an official source and say whether you mean the actual date or substitute day. Do not send private notes; a blank setup, screenshot and browser details are usually enough.
Chess Stopwatch Online
For a timing problem, tell us the preset or custom reserves, bonus, browser and device, whether the tab was hidden or the screen locked, and the sequence of pause and move actions. A CSV review can help reproduce the issue. Do not include private player information unless needed. We check reproducible errors and correct the tool or its explanation when warranted.
New Year Countdown
If something looks wrong, send us the page URL, selected year, time zone, browser and the value you expected. Include the source or a screenshot when useful, but do not send precise location or other private information. We distinguish a calendar-rule error from a device-clock or browser limitation, check a reproducible example, and update the tool and this explanation when a correction is confirmed.
Holiday Countdown
Found a date that disagrees with an official calendar? Send the country or region, year, holiday name, actual or observed mode, expected date and a reliable source. For a countdown issue, include the selected zone and safe reproduction steps. Please do not send private event links or personal schedules.
Pomodoro Timer
If something is wrong, tell us the selected rhythm, phase, browser and device, whether the tab was hidden, and the expected versus observed time or count. A screenshot helps, but remove private task names first. We reproduce the issue, correct the timer or explanation, and record material changes in What’s New.
World Clock
Found a wrong city, date or offset? Send the city names, IANA zones, chosen date, reference, browser and expected result. Include a primary source for a rule change when possible. A screenshot without private information helps us reproduce the problem.
Online Clock
Something looks wrong? Tell us the browser, device, selected format and timezone, and whether it happened after sleep or a system-clock change. For a display issue, a non-sensitive screenshot helps. We can correct formatting, layout and refresh behavior, but cannot fix your operating system’s clock from this page.
Online Stopwatch
For a timing or recovery problem, tell us the browser, device, display format and steps that reproduce it. Note whether the device slept or its clock changed. Use a non-sensitive example; do not send private session records.
Online Alarm Clock
Tell us your browser, device, timezone, scheduled time and what happened. Do not send private alarm names or an unredacted export.
Typing Test
For a typing-test issue, share the browser, input language, error mode, test length and a non-sensitive example. Do not send passwords or private passages. Check the deadline, Unicode composition, attempted-character counts, correction behaviour and translated labels against a reproducible case; add a relevant regression test.
Music & Rhythm
For metronome reports, include the browser, device, BPM, time signature, beat unit and practice settings. Describe the audible or visual mismatch without sending private recordings. Timing, rhythm, export and translation corrections should receive a reproducible check and a relevant regression test.
API keys and random secrets
For generator reports, share the format, size, quantity and a synthetic example, never a real secret. Encoding, length, entropy or export defects receive regression tests; a material correction should explain whether affected keys must be regenerated and replaced in the consuming application.
What We Review
Report incorrect calculations, misleading results, broken workflows, translation errors, accessibility barriers, inaccurate exports, outdated sources or privacy disclosures. Include missing limitations when they could change how someone uses a result.
Send A Useful, Safe Report
Email [email protected] with the URL, language, selected mode, steps, expected result and actual result. Include units, timezone, browser, device and observation time when relevant. A small non-sensitive example, redacted screenshot or authoritative source helps us investigate.
Do not send passwords, API keys, private documents, precise personal location or confidential links. Replace real names and account details with safe examples. We do not need access to your account to receive a report.
How We Handle Corrections
The publisher reviews the evidence and tries to reproduce the issue. When a defect is confirmed, the correction process includes a fix, a regression check and review of affected guidance, related tools, translations and exports. Incomplete reports may need clarification; not every requested change is a correction.
Priority And Interim Warnings
Security, privacy and materially misleading results take priority, followed by broken workflows, accessibility and factual errors. Minor wording and styling follow. A serious unresolved defect may require a warning or temporary removal of the affected feature. We do not promise a fixed response or resolution time.
External Data Or A Tool Defect?
A provider can change a record, delay an update or stop responding. That is different from ClockTools misreading the record or presenting stale data as current. Reports should identify the source and observation time. We can correct our handling and wording, but cannot alter a registry or a provider's status report.
What We Disclose
Material corrections should identify what changed and which result or guidance was affected, with a correction note where needed and a meaningful update date. Relevant product changes belong in What's New. When earlier outputs may be wrong, the notice should explain whether users need to recalculate or regenerate them.
Minor spelling, formatting or non-substantive clarity edits may be made without a separate notice. We do not change evidence merely to preserve an earlier conclusion. Previously downloaded files, shared screenshots and third-party caches do not update automatically.
Security And Privacy Reports
Send security concerns privately to [email protected]. Describe the affected page and impact without sending credentials or another person's data. Avoid public exploit details while a report is being assessed. Any public correction notice should explain the user impact without exposing sensitive operational information.
Rights And Follow-Up
For privacy or rights requests, identify the material and your relationship to it without unnecessary personal data. If a problem persists after a change, send the earlier report context and new reproduction steps. Guidance and fixes remain open to revision when better evidence becomes available.

For a discrepancy, include temperature, wind, both units, observation time and a reference calculation. Compare unrounded inputs and sustained wind first. Do not send private location details unless needed.
Heat Index Calculator
Report the temperature unit, humidity, displayed method and any humidity adjustment with the reference you used. A chart may round to whole degrees. Check that readings describe the same hour before comparing results.
Dew Point Calculator
Include temperature, unit, humidity, sensor context and the reference formula when reporting a mismatch. Check whether your source uses saturation over water or ice. Rounded humidity, especially near zero, can noticeably change the estimate.
Golden Hour Calculator
Include the local date, coordinates, selected time zone, convention and event when reporting a mismatch. Compare the same horizon definition and check daylight saving first. Do not share a private place label or exact coordinates publicly unless you intend to.
Age calculator
To check a suspected issue, use non-sensitive example dates whenever possible. Include the birth date, reference date, February 29 rule, whether local times were enabled, both times, the device time zone shown in the result, the expected rows and the observed rows. First compare the stated month-end and leap-day rules with the other source; many disagreements come from a different convention rather than a software defect.
Date of birth calculator
For a reproducible issue, provide the mode, reference date, entered years, months, days or total days, selected February 29 rule, expected candidate dates and observed candidate dates. Use fictional inputs unless the real record is necessary. Before reporting a defect, check whether the source age was rounded, whether the reference date is correct, whether endpoints are meant to be inclusive and whether a different leap-day convention explains the difference.
Roman numeral converter
For a reproducible report, include the exact input, conversion direction, copied characters if special symbols are involved, expected conventional form and why that convention applies. If the source uses IIII, overlines or another historical notation, preserve the original source text and report the unsupported convention separately from arithmetic errors.
GUID and UUID generator
For a reproducible report, include the mode, version, quantity, text format, encoding, layout, browser, exact visible error and a safe example value. For validation issues, provide the exact pasted string and expected variant or version. Do not include production credentials, bearer tokens, private customer identifiers or database rows when a public test UUID demonstrates the issue.
Online Notepad
For a save problem, download a backup first. Record the browser, export format and a non-sensitive reproduction. Do not send private notes in a bug report; use a small invented example with the same formatting.
Text Diff Checker
If a result looks wrong, disable ignore rules, verify both inputs and compare a smaller section. Include a short invented example, token mode and normalization settings when reporting a mismatch.
Lorem Ipsum Generator
Check the selected mode and plain-text statistics if the quantity seems wrong. Report the requested count and format with a saved sample. Use actual target-language text for final overflow and reading tests.
ASCII Art Generator
Try Standard when a font fails, reduce dimensions when PNG export fails, and check a monospace destination when alignment changes. Report settings and a non-sensitive small image or banner rather than uploading private material.
Online Timer
For a timing report, include duration, repeat state, browser, whether the device slept, and any clock changes. Do not include private timer names. Saved-data problems leave unreadable storage intact rather than silently replacing it.
URL Encoder
Keep a copy of the original input. Report the selected mode and a fabricated value that reproduces an escaping problem. Never submit access tokens or signed private URLs. Check the receiving system’s decoding rules before changing production links.
URL Decoder
Correct the original escape or ask the sender for valid UTF-8. Report a synthetic failing sequence and the selected mode, not private redirects or credentials. A decoding fix can change application semantics, so test it against the receiver before deploying it.
API Key Generator
Report format, size, quantity and a synthetic example, never a real secret. A confirmed generation defect may require replacing previously registered keys in your application. Use trusted infrastructure for high-assurance production generation.
